Energy Monitoring System
The Energy Monitoring System, perform measurments of a Y-type electrical connection, monitoring the RMS voltage and RMS current of each phase in a three-phase connection, for this monitoring, the System is going to provide the measurments of active power, reactive power, apparent power and power factor. Both three phase and each phase.
We perfomed a study with the Energy Monitoring System with a computer program, and storing data in a file that will serve to analyze the electrical system.
The program displays a histogram of the sudy period to see which were the peak currents, the peak demand and the minimum power factor. Hence take the peak demand needed for the company and the MCE2 program to active the alarm and check the area you decide to diconnect or machines that are not priority for our production. When the peak demand exceeds the value programmed MCE2 take the decision to activate the alarm on and off so we decide, therefore the peak demand begins to drop, reaching a maximum level.
There are preventing alarms for the following conditions:
– Maximum demand.
– Maximum current.
– Adjusting power factor.
Benefits
The Energy Monitoring System represents a monetary savings by managing peak demand and power factor correction, as well as providing extreme conditions in the future that will affect the system of power distribution and the final cost of invoice provided by the Government.
